Deceased physician providers billing Medicare

Provider Education for Handling Issues Related to Deceased Providers, CMS CR 5508 – CMS has released an article regarding Medicare rejecting an electronic claim received without an NPI after May 23, 2007, in cases where the provider died prior to obtaining an NPI.
