Evaluations are important to a well-run physician practice

Employment contracts prove relatively worthless if you don't take the time to evaluate how your staff performs under them. So set up a formal review process for all members of your group, including management.

The old saying, 'No one has the right to tell me how to do my work,' just doesn't cut it any more. A rising level of impatience among management members and physicians in good quality groups calls for more attention to performance. To keep your practice financially sound, you can no longer afford to let a staff member's weaknesses or failures go unchecked.
